What I Loved About The ’90’s: Movies

The 90’s in movies brings back so many awesome memories.

*Doing the Wayne’s World DooDoo-Loo*

It was the last day of school, and my brother and I would call our Mom and ask her if she would call Pizza Hut and order us pizza, and if we could each order a pay-per-view movie. Then the ultimate beat down of an argument would ensue for the right to watch our movie first…because pay-per-view could only deliver one movie at a time per household…then we would sit and watch the ‘Now Playing’ scroll through and find out what showtimes were next.

Yes, that’s right, the movies had designated start times and sometimes you had to suck it up and order a movie 20 minutes after it started.

That’s why us 90’s kids are so tough. Word to your motha’.

Looking back at the cinematic awesomeness (Ghost, Edward Scissorhands, Pretty Woman, etc) and awfulness (Oscar, Maid to Order, Drop Dead Fred, etc) that was the 90’s…I had a list that filled a whole page (and I have small handwriting too!) From Curly Sue, Empire Records, Joe vs. the Volcano (a braincloud…), Mannequin, The Addams Family, Sandlot (you’re killing me Smalls!), What About Bob (Baby Steps), Caddyshack II (a teeeny, tiiiiiny tap) to Austin Powers (Yeah baby! Do I make you horny!) . I realized, even the bad was so bad it was good.

I highly recommend a 90’s movie night. that would be stellar.
